PeterSmart Technologies operates PeterSmart Link (petersmartlink.com) and the SmartPOS Android application. We are based in Mbirizi Town Council, Lwengo District, Uganda. Contact: hello@petersmartlink.com
We collect: (a) Account data — name, email address, phone number when you register. (b) Business data — business name, address, products, services, blog posts that you publish. (c) Transaction data — sales records, receipt numbers, payment methods processed through SmartPOS. (d) Usage data — how you use our platform.
We use your data to: provide and improve our services, display your business on the platform, generate PDF receipts and agreements, send important account notifications, and comply with Ugandan law.
Your data is stored on Appwrite Cloud servers in the New York City (NYC) region. Appwrite is SOC 2 compliant and uses industry-standard encryption. We do not sell your data to third parties.
When you publish your business on PeterSmart Link, your business name, address, phone, email, products, services and blog posts become publicly visible on petersmartlink.com. Cost prices, sales records and staff details are never made public.
Your public profile is removed within 30 days of account deletion. Sales records are retained for 7 years as required by Ugandan tax law. Agreement PDFs are retained for the duration of your business registration.
You have the right to: access your personal data, correct inaccurate data, delete your account and data, export your data, and withdraw consent at any time. Contact us at hello@petersmartlink.com to exercise these rights.
We use session cookies to keep you logged in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. You can disable cookies in your browser settings but this may affect functionality.
We use: Appwrite (data storage), Cloudflare (hosting and CDN), Resend (email delivery). Each has their own privacy policy. We do not share your data with these services beyond what is necessary to provide our platform.
Our services are not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We may update this policy. We will notify registered users by email of significant changes. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance.
